Job Description
- Coordinate with pipeline operators, terminal managers, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery
- Utilize and support the Development of Advanced Distribution Modeling tools to optimize refined product placement to various markets
- Monitor product levels at the refinery and terminals to prevent shortages or overstock
- Maintain accurate records of product movements and reconcile discrepancies
- Optimize transportation routes and modes (pipeline, truck, rail) for cost efficiency and reliability
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during product transfer
- Identify logistics limitations and work with the refinery economics team to incorporate limits in the refinery LP model
- Use control systems to track product flow and detect anomalies
- Respond to operational issues, including scheduling conflicts or equipment downtime
- Liaise with internal teams (refinery operations, economics, maintenance, finance) and external partners (carriers, terminals)
- Provide regular updates on distribution performance and KPIs
**Qualifications:**
* High School diploma or GED - 7+ years of supply chain experience in the refined fuel or related industry
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business/Supply Chain Management, Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong knowledge of pipeline systems, terminal operations, and transportation regulations
- Proficiency in inventory management systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
- Knowledge of Refined Fuels Scheduling Software (AspenTech)
- Familiarity with DOT and EPA compliance standards
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities
