The Surveyor I - Rod position at Mott MacDonald involves assisting in the collection of surveying data for pipeline projects. The role requires physical endurance and the ability to work outdoors in various conditions while ensuring safety and accuracy in surveying tasks. - Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection of surveying data for pipeline projects ,
- Place marks, stakes, pins, and monuments ,
- Drive stakes to fix survey points and determine location data ,
- Measure distances using survey tape and accurately read measurements ,
- Carry stakes and other field equipment over long distances and through various terrains ,
- Perform maintenance of field equipment and maintain supplies for the survey crew ,
- Take direction from the Party Chief in a safe and efficient manner
- Requirements
- Previous pipeline surveying experience preferred ,
- Familiarity with commonly used surveying terms and survey tools ,
- Strong work ethic and team-player attitude ,
- Successful completion of pre-employment fitness-for-duty physical, background check, and drug screen ,
- A valid driver license ,
- Willingness to travel
