A well-known health system in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to join their staff as their new System Director / Nurse Educator to join their team. In this role, the System Director / Nurse Educator (RN) will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight for the planning development implementation and evaluation of ongoing nursing education programs across the system. About the Opportunity: β’ Assignment Length: 13-week contract (possibility of extension depending on need) β’ Schedule: Monday to Friday β’ Hours: 9am to 5pm β’ Setting: Hybrid (2 days in the office; 3 days remote) β’ Department: Nursing Administration Responsibilities: β’ Develop and execute a comprehensive system wide nursing education strategy that aligns educational initiatives with organizational goals clinical quality metrics and evidence-based best practices. This strategy should include: β’ Orientation β’ Onboarding β’ Competency assessments β’ Ongoing professional development β’ Serve as a thought leader and advisor to system leadership on nursing education and workforce development needs β’ Establish and maintain nursing policies procedures and standards of care that reflect best practices and regulatory requirements β’ Ensure equitable access to educational resources for all facilities and departments being mindful to address diverse learning needs β’ Lead initiatives to support specialty certifications and advanced practice roles β’ Partner with clinical leaders and use data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement β’ Promote innovative teaching methodologies by integrating technology including e-learning platforms simulation and virtual reality to enhance learning opportunities β’ Establish metrics to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of nursing education programs on clinical outcomes and employee engagement β’ Perform other duties., as assigned. Qualifications: β’ Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license β’ Advanced Degree, Ph.D, Ed.D, or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) β’ Certification in Nursing Leadership β’ Experience in leadership or supervision β’ Excellent communication skills β’ Critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership skills Apply tot his job
