Team Lead, Arbitration Department (Mass Arbitrations β Wage & Hour Focus) Blackstone Law, APC is seeking an experienced and strategic Team Lead or Senior Associate to head our Arbitration Department, with a primary focus on mass arbitrations involving wage and hour claims. This is a leadership role tailored for a seasoned employment litigator who excels in high-volume, plaintiff-side arbitration work and is eager to guide a growing team through the complexities of mass employment arbitrations. Key Responsibilities: β’ Lead and manage a team of attorneys handling mass arbitration cases, primarily involving wage and hour violations β’ Extensive knowledge of the California Labor Code as it applies to employee rights and employer violations, including wage and hour claims (e.g., Β§Β§ 201β203, 226, 510, 558, 1194), wrongful termination, retaliation, and PAGA; skilled in leveraging these statutes to develop case strategy, evaluate damages, and drive favorable outcomes in arbitration or trial. β’ Supervise all phases of arbitration, including case strategy, discovery, brief drafting, arbitration preparation, and final hearings β’ Review and ensure quality of all legal documents, including arbitration demands, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements β’ Mentor and coach junior attorneys, fostering professional development and best practices in high-volume arbitration work β’ Develop and optimize workflows, templates, and systems to support efficiency in large-scale arbitration caseloads β’ Work closely with intake, pre-litigation, and operations teams to ensure smooth transitions and case readiness β’ Monitor procedural compliance with arbitration providers (e.g., AAA, JAMS), especially in the context of batch/mass arbitration protocols β’ Collaborate on strategic decisions for complex and high-value cases, and represent the firm in arbitration hearings when needed What Weβre Looking For: β’ 5+ years of employment law experience, with significant exposure to wage and hour class, PAGA, and arbitration matters β’ Demonstrated success leading legal teams or managing junior attorneys β’ Hands-on experience managing high-volume or mass arbitrations, from intake to resolution β’ Expert knowledge of arbitration forums and rules, particularly AAA and JAMS mass arbitration protocols β’ Strong writing, advocacy, and negotiation skills β’ Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage team performance in a fast-paced environment β’ A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement Job Type: Full-time Pay: $185,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year Benefits: β’ 401(k) matching β’ Dental insurance β’ Health insurance β’ Paid time off β’ Vision insurance Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
