Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll be core to this transformation — architecting systems capable of handling hundreds of concurrent transactions and helping us scale into 2025 and beyond.
Responsibility • Design and implement scalable backend systems for trading and settlement. • Architect the middle tier that powers complex order routing, user workflows, and API integrations. • (Tech Lead) Define tech stack, system architecture, and development roadmap. • (Tech Lead) Document plans, manage sprint cycles, and delegate tasks across the team. • Collaborate remotely with the Cairo-based engineering team and align on cross-functional goals. Requirements Must have: • 5+ years (Tech Lead) or 3+ years (
Senior Developer) of backend system development.
• Proven experience in high-performance trading systems or real-time financial applications. • Strong command of system architecture, API design, and data handling under load. • Passion for clean code — ideally with personal GitHub projects or side work to show. • Comfortable working independently and in startup environments. Nice to have: • Experience with OMS (Order Management Systems) and EOD (End-of-Day) settlement systems. • Background in fintech, brokerages, or building mobile trading platforms.
• Familiarity with microservices, distributed systems, or event-driven architecture. • Experience mentoring or managing small engineering teams (for Tech Lead). Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development with a focus on high-performance trading systems. • Proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering complex projects on time. • Strong understanding of algorithmic trading systems, financial markets, and risk management. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
