Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead, IT Applications to join our team. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and guiding a team of engineers in best practices, with a focus on Java, cloud-based development, and system reliability
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improvement
- Designing, developing, and implementing large-scale, highly available applications
- Participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle
- Collaborating with the architect to define the technical roadmap for the product
- Evaluating product requirements and proposing solutions
- Working closely with engineering to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs
- Completing appropriate documentation for technical plans, processes, and project decisions
- Building tools and templates to accelerate development and delivery
- Investigating and implementing new technologies and solutions to improve current processes, security, and performance
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience delivering SDLC solutions using ITIL/Agile/XP or similar methodologies
- 2+ years of experience providing technical leadership
- Carrier industry experience, including Sabre, business processes, and supporting technologies
- Strong technical skills, including Java, cloud-based development, microservices architecture, and JavaScript MVC frameworks
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
