Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented professional with a hunter's mentality and a passion for industrial automation. This role focuses on expanding the company's market share by identifying and winning new B2B manufacturing accounts. Ideal candidates thrive on resourcefulness, relationship-building, and closing complex sales in a technical environment.
- Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new B2B manufacturing clients through outbound sales strategies, networking, and industry events.
- Conduct discovery meetings to identify client automation challenges and align solutions accordingly.
- Manage the full sales cycle - from lead generation through proposal and contract negotiation to deal closure.
- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and demos that address client-specific needs.
- Update and manage opportunities in the CRM system (e.g.: Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive).
- Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities to meet monthly and quarterly targets.
- Report activity and forecasts regularly to sales leadership using CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
- Stay current on industry trends, automation technologies, and competitive landscape to deliver value-added insights to prospects. Qualifications
- 5-8 years of outside sales experience, with a strong track record in B2B manufacturing environments.
- Experience in industrial automation, controls, robotics, or systems integration is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in new business development and consistently exceeding quotas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM platforms.
- Self-starter who thrives in a hybrid work environment and is highly organized.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel throughout the Midwest as needed for client visits and industry events. Why Join Us?
