About the Role We are seeking a Telehealth Primary Care Physician to join our growing clinical network on a contract (1099) basis. This role is designed for a physician who is comfortable practicing across the full spectrum of primary care in a virtual environment. You will support patients through various stages of care, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and care coordination. The ideal candidate is adaptable, clinically strong, and comfortable working within an evolving care model as we continue to expand our services. What You’ll Do Deliver virtual primary care visits via video and other telehealth modalities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of adult acute and chronic conditions Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests Prescribe medications and manage ongoing treatment plans Provide patient education and clinical guidance Coordinate care with specialists, care coordinators, and external providers as needed Support patients across the continuum of care, from initial consultation through follow-up Document accurately and efficiently in Athena EMR and internal systems Adhere to all telehealth regulations, prescribing guidelines, and state-specific requirements Escalate care appropriately based on clinical need Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited institution Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Active, unrestricted DEA license Active, unrestricted medical licenses in multiple U.S. states 5+ strongly preferred Eligible for or participating in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact preferred 3+ years of post-residency clinical experience in primary care or related fields Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage a wide range of patient needs Comfort practicing independently in a virtual care setting Excellent communication skills and strong virtual bedside manner Proficiency with EHR systems (Athena experience preferred) Preferred Experience Prior telehealth or virtual care experience Experience managing adult patients across preventive, acute, and chronic care Comfort working in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams Multistate licensure across high-volume states What Success Looks Like High-quality, efficient clinical care delivered in a virtual setting Strong patient satisfaction and engagement Safe, compliant practice across multiple state jurisdictions Effective collaboration with clinical and operational teams Adaptability as care models and services evolve Contract Details Independent contractor (1099) role Flexible scheduling based on availability and patient demand Fully remote Compensation structure to be discussed during the interview process Physicians must maintain active licensure in the states where care is delivered Why Bastion Health Flexible, remote clinical work with control over your schedule Opportunity to practice across a broad clinical scope in a modern care model Collaborative, mission-driven team Ability to expand your impact across multiple states
