CORE JOB SUMMARY The University of Miami is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Proctor to support the administration of examinations in a professional academic environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity, security, and fairness of the testing process while providing a positive and respectful experience for students. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, and the ability to interact professionally with student population. Assignment Dates: April 24, 2026, to May 8, 2026 Availability Requirements: Candidates must be available to work between 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Proctor is responsible for administering and monitoring examinations in accordance with University policies and established testing procedures. Duties include verifying student identity, enforcing exam rules, monitoring testing sessions, and safeguarding examination materials. The Proctor ensures approved testing accommodations are implemented accurately, maintains confidentiality of student and exam information, and documents any testing irregularities as required. This position requires the ability to remain attentive for extended periods, follow detailed instructions, and provide courteous customer service in a fast‑paced academic setting. CORE QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications. Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
