- -- Project Description --- The position is in support (testing) of the UISIm project, a multi-year program effortto redesign, implement, and test business process improvements for theDepartment of Labor's customers, partners and internal staff. UISIm replaces the40+ year old Unemployment Insurance (UI) legacy computer systems and manualprocedures with a new and improved integrated computer system.
- -- Day-to-Day Tasks --- 1. Design and develop the following test artifacts:2. • Test Strategy document detailing how quality will be infused throughout theSoftware Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process3. • Test Scenarios/Cases (business entities/objects and their relationships)4. • Traceability matrix outlining the correlation between business rules, use cases,and corresponding test scenarios5. • Functional Test Plan describing the who, what, where, how, and why of eachbusiness function will be tested6. • User Acceptance Test plan detailing entrance and exit criteria; including users inthe process of decision-making re. testing specific business scenarios7. 1.Create SQL queries to verify tables are correctly populated8. 2.Participate in meetings with Business Analysts, Developers, and Architects inunderstanding requirements9. 3.Analyze Business and Technical requirements, identifying test scenariosbased on business process10. 4.Execute functional test cases11. 5.Work with data management to acquire test data12. 6.Review Release Notes with each build for accuracy and completeness13. 7.Analyze test case failures; clearly and concisely report defects using QMCdesignated testing tool set, which includes Client ALM/QC, JIRA, Selenium andSoapUI/PostMan.14. 8.Create test execution summary report and communicate results to managerand project team15. 9.Coordinate all test artifacts in common test location in QMC designated testingtool set for version control16. 10.Re-test defects as assigned, following defect management process17. 11.Validate each screen with web accessibility compliance tool for AmericanDisabilities Act compliance18. 12.Creating/Maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium framework19. 13.Conduct automation testing and leading automation team members in theautomation of test cases using Selenium tool set.20. 14.Creating/Maintaining and troubleshooting automation testing script, whichcould be using knowledge of JAVA, SQL, Selenium language.

- 60 months as a lead tester, writing/executing:
- Test Scenarios/Cases (business entities/objects and their relationships)
- Traceability matrix outlining the correlation between business rules, use cases, and corresponding test scenarios
- Functional Test Plan describing the who, what, where, how, and why each business function will be tested
- User Acceptance Test plan detailing entrance and exit criteria; including users in the process of decision-making re. testing specific business scenarios
- 60 months experience in Selenium WebDriver, Java, J2EE, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Eclipse IDE
- 48 months testing web services in a SOA environment including functional and performance testing using Jmeter/SoapUI/PostMan.
- 60 months writing SQL queries to validate correct back-end data processing and creating test data
- 48 months using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and knowledge with CI/CD processes
