We serve communities with the greatest access gaps — rural families, military families, and BIPOC communities across Texas and beyond. Perinatal nutrition is one of the most underserved areas in maternity care, and we are building a nutrition practice that treats it with the clinical depth and accessibility it deserves.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
This is a clinical contractor role for a Texas-licensed Registered Dietitian with a genuine specialty in perinatal nutrition. You will conduct one-on-one medical nutrition therapy sessions and lead live virtual group education. We are specifically looking for a clinician who is confident, engaging, and skilled on screen — someone who can build connection and trust through a video platform with families navigating some of the most physically demanding seasons of their lives.
- WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Conduct initial and follow-up medical nutrition therapy sessions via telehealth for clients with perinatal nutrition needs, including gestational diabetes, hyperemesis gravidarum, anemia, weight management, and postpartum recovery
- Lead live virtual group classes on perinatal nutrition topics (prenatal eating, breastfeeding nutrition, postpartum recovery, managing gestational diabetes through diet)
- Complete clinical documentation in CharmHealth EHR including nutrition assessments, care plans, and session notes
- Coordinate care through warm referrals with the broader NovoKind network, especially in high-risk obstetric cases
- Produce clear, client-facing nutrition plans, handouts, and educational materials that translate clinical guidance into practical action
- Maintain TX licensure, CDR registration, and professional liability insurance
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Required:
- Active Texas RD or LDN credential in good standing
- CDR-registered Dietitian (RD or RDN credential)
- Minimum 2 years of perinatal nutrition experience (prenatal, gestational diabetes, postpartum, lactation nutrition)
- Experience delivering services via telehealth or virtual platforms
- Comfort with EHR documentation and digital scheduling and communication tools
- Professional virtual workspace with reliable internet, quality camera, and private environment
- Current professional liability insurance
- Preferred / Nice to Have:
- CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist) or gestational diabetes management experience
- Experience with eating disorder-informed approaches in perinatal populations
- Bilingual Spanish/English — high priority for the Texas market
- Familiarity with TRICARE or military health benefit structures
- Experience facilitating group nutrition education or cooking/nutrition demos virtually
