With 16 branches and 5 manufacturing facilities located in the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada, FLOFORM Countertops manufactures, sells and installs over 20,000 premium surface countertops a year. Established in 1961, FLOFORM is proud to be one of the Best Managed Companies in North America.
Required immediately, our local Kent branch is seeking a TEAM of LONG HAUL TRUCK DRIVERS. This is a full time position (Monday thru Thursday) that will be mostly local driving with some long haul driving to Canada.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for transporting countertops to and from branches and suppliers in accordance with their set route. This could include locations inside and outside Canada or the United States.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Β Must have and maintain Current Class A commercial driver's license and be forklift certified
Β High School Diploma or equivalency
Β 1-2 years of experience of long-haul driving
Β 1 year of experience with step deck, double drop or flatbed freight required
Β Knowledge of highway and road regulations
Β Current Passport and able to travel between the US and Canada
Β Valid work permit
Β Ability to operate a Forklift
Β Basic math skills
Β Must be able to lift 100lbs assisted
Β Able to drive for long extensive periods of time
Β Must have a clean driving record and a clear criminal record
Duties and Responsibilities:
Β Safely operates flatbed, semi-truck to transport countertops in a long-haul setting
Β Follows set trip route and reports on location as required
Β Sets route schedule 4 days on 3 days off
Β Safely operates a forklift, certification is a must
Β Loads and unloads cargo
Β Records cargo deliveries
Β Refuels and cleans vehicle to maintain proper maintenance and housekeeping standards in vehicle
Β Reports road incidents to supervisor
Β Follows traffic laws
Β Follows accident procedures if necessary
Β Maintains all paperwork associated with trips and turnover to supervisor at end of shift
Β Reports mechanical problems to maintenance personnel
Β Plans routes using GPS system
Β Maintains a positive attitude with customers
Β Commercial driverΒs license must be kept up to date at all times
Β Regular out-of-town and overnight travel throughout Canada and USA
Β Other duties as assigned
