Business Risk Partners is a Windsor-based Specialty Lines Managing General Agency offering a structured development role designed to grow your underwriting skills. As an Underwriter Assistant Trainee, you will participate in a comprehensive program that provides hands-on learning and support for multiple underwriters.
Responsibilities
- Participate in structured underwriting training led by seasoned professionals
- Support multiple underwriters and product lines simultaneously
- Enter submissions into BRP’s submission tracking systems
- Maintain service standards through timely broker responses and administrative support
- Upon completing the training period, transition into day-to-day work on one of our three teams: Management Liability, Professional Liability, or Operations
- Assist with special projects as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field
- Energetic, committed self-starter who aligns with our core values
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive goals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Collaborative mindset with professionalism and attention to detail
