**Job Description**
Tesla's Autonomy Telemetry team focuses on collecting and processing data crucial for the development of Autopilot and Tesla Bot technologies. The team employs imitation learning to train Tesla Bot for new tasks by gathering a vast array of human demonstrations to create a comprehensive dataset for training neural networks. A central component of this role involves developing a cutting-edge VR rig for Bot Operators to experience the world as Tesla Bot does, further allowing them to remotely operate the robot for complex tasks. This position requires collaboration with hardware teams to define requirements, make design decisions, and implement software integration for the custom VR data collection system.
- *Requirements and Qualifications**
- Practical experience with application layer languages such as C++ and Python
- Familiarity with 3D graphics, game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine), and virtual reality systems
- Experience with Linux, including networking, wireless (WiFi and Bluetooth), filesystems, and storage
- *Pay and Benefits**
- Expected annual salary: $120,000 - $318,000, plus cash and stock awards
