POSITION: Bilingual Recruiter Migrant Program
Buildings to be assigned
EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately
SALARY: $21.83 - $22.85 per hour
$22.41 - $23.43 with Bachelor's Degree
(Based on 2022-2023 classified salary. 2023-2024 classified salary TBD)
SCHEDULE: 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday
Flexible Calendar dependent on need
200-day work year
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)
*Must proficiently read, speak and write both English and Spanish
*Knowledge of, and good rapport with migrant community
*Previous Home Visitor experience
*High School Diploma or equivalent
*Know and communicate District philosophy
*Valid Washington State Driver's License and complete 5 year driving abstract (Available from Department of Licensing)
*Dependable transportation and proof of auto insurance
*Ability to work independently and with initiative
*Ability to maintain accurate records of position duties
*Prior extensive computer experience: word processing, excel, data bases
*Demonstrated exemplary customer service and responsiveness
*Demonstrated punctuality and an excellent work attendance record
*Must work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality *
*Able to work flexible hours which coincide with the hours parents are available
*Ability to provide workshop/training sessions for parents
*Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively/positive attitude with students, staff, parents and the community
*Willingness to work with students and parents of students whose attendance negatively impacts performance
*Willingness to work collaboratively with all building staff and participate in daily/weekly
team meetings
*Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures
*Ability to establish and maintain professional, cooperative working relationships
*Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with staff, students, and patrons
QUALIFICATIONS:
DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position)
*AA Degree or BA Degree
*Experience as a classroom paraeducator or tutor
*Knowledge of, and good rapport with entire migrant community
*Previous Home Visitor experience
