About the position
This position is for an experienced z/OS generalist who will join a small but talented team dedicated to supporting a Sysplex environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting the z/OS operating system platform and may also have experience with one or more subsystems such as CICS, DB2, IMS, or z/OS Comm Server. The role is fully remote, which necessitates a strong work ethic and excellent communication and collaboration skills to ensure effective teamwork and project execution from a distance. In addition to core responsibilities, the candidate will be expected to engage in performance tuning of the z/OS environment, and familiarity with z/VM or JES2 system exit modification will be considered a valuable asset. The position also emphasizes the importance of mentorship, as experience in guiding and supporting less senior staff is highly desirable. - Responsibilities
- Support the z/OS operating system platform and its subsystems. ,
- Engage in performance tuning of the z/OS environment. ,

- Requirements
- Experience supporting z/OS operating system platform. ,
- Familiarity with subsystems such as CICS, DB2, IMS, or z/OS Comm Server. ,
- Experience in z/OS performance tuning. ,
- Knowledge of z/VM or JES2 system exit modification is a plus. ,
- Strong remote communication and collaboration skills. ,
