Vice President, Financial Operations - Remote

Position Summary

The Vice President of Financial Operations is a senior executive responsible for leading the strategic modernization of the company's finance infrastructure, including ERP platforms, financial reporting systems, and operational processes. This role integrates finance and enterprise operations, partnering across Business Units with IT and executive leadership to strengthen controls and scale financial operations through technology, automation, and data governance.

    Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations Oversight and Continuous Improvement
  • Serve as the senior leader for enterprise operations, with direct ownership of billing, payroll, procure to pay, and revenue cycle management.
  • Design, implement, and continuously optimize scalable, compliant, and highly efficient operational processes to support growth across multiple business units.
  • Elevate operational maturity through automation, standardization, performance metrics, and best in class controls.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and operations management on operational, financial, and risk matters.
  • Enterprise Systems, Technology and Automation Enablement
  • Own and oversee the company's enterprise operations and finance systems, including ERP, billing, payroll, and procurement platforms.
  • Work with IT to select, implement, and optimize modern, cloud based and AI enabled solutions across the operations landscape.
  • Leverage AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve billing accuracy, exception management, forecasting, compliance monitoring, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide clear requirements for IT and external vendors to ensure system integration, data integrity, and scalable technology architecture.
  • Financial Compliance and Operational Controls
  • Own SOX business controls related to order to cash, payroll, and procure to pay.
  • Coordinate SOC report collection and partner with IT on data governance and general controls compliance.
  • Lead budgeting and financial planning for administrative and Shared Services functions, including HR, Corporate Operations, and Finance.
  • Lead corporate insurance renewals, audits, and oversight of self funded medical plans and benefit budgets.
  • Monitor statutory and payroll related costs, including State Unemployment Insurance (SUI), and advise leadership on financial impact and optimization opportunities.
  • Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash and Data Governance
  • Manage procure-to-pay workflow and approve cash disbursements in accordance with company policy and internal controls.
  • Oversee customer and supplier setup, master data governance, and change controls to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to streamline, standardize, and optimize business operations and mitigate financial risk.
  • Qualifications & Experience
  • Over 15+ years of management experience in Finance, Accounting, and Operations with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CPA, CMA, and/or MBA preferred.
  • Significant senior level experience leading operations and finance within a staffing, consulting, or professional services environment, or other complex industry.
  • Deep, hands on expertise in billing, payroll, procure to pay, and revenue cycle management.
  • Strong background in accounting, internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit processes.
  • Proven experience implementing and leading enterprise systems, data governance, automation, and AI enabled operational solutions.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams and outsourcing finance back-office functions overseas.
  • Strong work ethic, operating with high-integrity and leads by example.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with executive leadership to drive scalable processes and efficiency.
  • Strong experience utilizing continuous improvement methodologies to optimize business operations.
