Job Description
I’m looking for a professional, detail-oriented virtual accountant/bookkeeper to help organize and manage my personal and business-related finances on a recurring monthly basis. The role is light in hours but requires consistency, accuracy, and a high level of professionalism. You will review accounts, categorize and tag transactions, maintain simple monthly reporting, and meet with me twice per month for a brief check-in to review progress, trends, and recommendations. This is an ideal role for someone who is highly organized, experienced in financial hygiene, and enjoys bringing structure and clarity to an executive’s financial picture.
Responsibilities: • Categorize and tag all monthly transactions across accounts • Maintain a clean, well-organized monthly ledger • Track spending, recurring payments, and overall cash flow • Prepare a simple monthly summary dashboard (Excel or bolthires Sheets) • Highlight any variances, trends, or unusual activity • Meet with me twice per month for ~30 minutes to review the summary and discuss action items • Provide recommendations to streamline and improve financial organization over time Time Commitment: • Approximately 3–4 hours per month total • ~2–3 hours of behind-the-scenes categorization & reporting • Two 30-minute review meetings each month • Long-term engagement preferred Ideal
Qualifications: • Strong bookkeeping / accounting experience (CPA not required) • Ability to categorize expenses accurately and maintain clean records • Strong Excel/bolthires Sheets skills • Experience supporting executives or entrepreneurs is a plus • Excellent communication and reliability
Compensation: Open to firm fixed monthly pricing for 3–4 hours of work, or hourly billing if preferred.
