Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) for students in grades K-12.
Ensure clear communication between teachers, staff, and students during academic activities.
Adapt interpreting techniques to meet the diverse needs of students across various grades.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance interpreting skills and stay current with best practices.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all ethical standards in the interpretation process.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a 4.0 EIPA score and a written test, or RID certification with a written test.
Prior experience working in a school setting is highly preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
Flexibility to work full-time or part-time hours as needed.
