We are seeking a Volunteer Legal Advisor (Unpaid) to provide formal legal counsel and support to our organization. This role is ideal for a licensed attorney committed to contributing their expertise to help guide our operations, ensure compliance, and mitigate legal risks.
- Responsibilities:
- Provide formal legal advice on organizational matters, including governance, contracts, compliance, and risk management.
- Review, draft, and approve policies, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Assist with regulatory filings and interpretation of applicable laws and regulations.
- Participate in organizational meetings where legal guidance is required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and act in the best interest of the organization at all times.
- Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in good standing.
- Strong knowledge of non-profit law and general corporate compliance.
- Proven experience in providing legal counsel, reviewing contracts, and advising organizations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Discretion, integrity, and a commitment to the organization’s mission.

- This is a volunteer, unpaid position.
- Flexible schedule; some tasks may be completed remotely.
