Benefits: Flexible schedule Opportunity for advancement Training & development Position Summary Helping connect caring adults with opportunities to inspire students About the Role As the Part-Time Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in bringing Junior Achievement’s mission to life. Your work helps ensure that students across K–12 classrooms have access to enthusiastic, well-prepared volunteers who can spark curiosity, build confidence, and share real‑world experiences. In this role, you’ll recruit, welcome, and support volunteers for a variety of JA programs—including in‑classroom lessons, JA in a Day events, Experiential Learning Center (ELC) rotations, and student-focused activities. You’ll collaborate closely with the Senior Program Manager and Program Team while building strong relationships with community partners, educators, and corporate groups. What You’ll Do Volunteer Recruitment & Outreach Connect with new volunteers for classroom programs, JA in a Day events, ELC rotations, and student activities. Reach out to companies, civic groups, universities, and community organizations to grow our volunteer base. Represent JA at community fairs, networking events, and corporate volunteer days. Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective volunteers through targeted outreach. Relationship Building Strengthen relationships with current volunteers to encourage ongoing engagement. Keep volunteers informed about upcoming opportunities, expectations, and preparation needs. Support corporate partners by helping coordinate presentations, volunteer drives, and group trainings. Volunteer Onboarding & Support Guide volunteers through onboarding, training modules, and background check steps. Match volunteers to opportunities based on their interests, availability, and experience. Ensure volunteers feel confident, supported, and ready before stepping into a classroom or ELC. Program Coordination Partner with the Senior Program Manager to fill volunteer needs for scheduled programs. Track volunteer commitments and confirmations to ensure accurate staffing. Assist with day‑of support for large volunteer events such as JA in a Day or ELC rotations. Data & Reporting Keep volunteer records, contact information, and activity logs up to date in JA systems. Prepare periodic updates on recruitment progress and trends. Share insights to help strengthen recruitment strategies and volunteer engagement. What You Bring Required Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfort with outreach and relationship building. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work independently. Professionalism when working with corporate and community partners. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and online communication tools. Preferred Experience in volunteer management, community engagement, recruitment, or nonprofit work. Familiarity with K–12 education or youth-serving organizations. Work Schedule Part‑time: approximately 15–28 hours per week (flexible depending on program season). Some daytime travel to schools, corporate sites, and community events. Occasional early morning or evening commitments for volunteer meetings or events. Flexible work from home options available.
