Job Description
We are building a next generation AI platform for complex industrial and physical systems. This is a hands-on VP Engineering / CTO role for someone who has built real distributed systems and knows how to take edge to cloud architecture from first deployment to production grade scale.
What you have done
- Served as VP Engineering, CTO, or Head of Software at a high velocity startup where you owned architecture, execution and engineering outcomes
- Built systems in industrial analytics, robotics, physical AI, edge computing or sensor driven environments where correctness, reliability and latency matter
- Been a founder or early technical leader who has taken complex systems from zero to one and lived with the consequences of architectural decisions
- Established and enforced rigorous engineering standards across architecture, reliability, security, deployment pipelines and operational hardening
- Built and led strong engineering teams capable of shipping distributed systems and operating them under real production constraints
What you will own
- End to end platform architecture from edge connectivity and multimodal sensor ingestion to orchestration, agents and enterprise system integration
- The workflow and execution spine including event models, streaming infrastructure, agent runtime, closed loop actions into ERP and CMMS systems and safe interaction with physical assets
- Industrial data architecture including ontology systems, knowledge graphs and contextual propagation across assets, processes and spatial systems
- Production grade reliability across observability, governance, versioning, infrastructure security and performance for mission critical deployments
- Engineering leadership including hiring, development processes, architectural direction and maintaining technical integrity as the platform scales
Who you are
- Technically fluent across distributed systems, streaming data infrastructure, edge runtimes and AI driven platforms
- Comfortable going deep into architecture, infrastructure, data models, workflow engines and system boundaries with engineers
- Opinionated about clean abstractions, platform invariants and long term technical sustainability in complex systems
- Strong intuition for building systems in industrial environments where reliability, safety and traceability matter
- High ownership mindset with the ambition and stamina to help build a category defining industrial platform over the next four to five years
