Responsibilities β’ Prepare federal interest computations for varying purposes including financial statement reporting, tax planning, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and litigation settlement, interest reviews, and IRS refund claims. β’ Assist clients and Deloitte engagement teams with federal interest and IRS account related matters. β’ Prepare written correspondence to the IRS and Deloitte engagement teams regarding federal interest and IRS account related matters. β’ Communicate with the IRS on behalf of clients to resolve federal interest and IRS account related matters. Requirements β’ 5+ years of federal interest computation experience β’ 5+ years of IRS account transcript research and comprehension experience β’ IRS, Treasury, Big 4 / large / boutique accounting firm, law firm, or relevant industry experience β’ Knowledge of TaxInterest Netting software or other comparable interest software β’ A federal interest subject matter expert β’ Proven ability to grow and manage a book of business β’ Ability to balance multiple assignments and other responsibilities while meeting prescribed deadlines β’ Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral β’ Excellent research and writing skills β’ Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week β’ Ability to travel up to 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve β’ One of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain: Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
