About the Position
This is an incredible work opportunity in a fast-paced, innovative company that puts the patient first. We hire clinical care professionals who deliver medical care using telemedicine modalities including video, phone, connected devices, and asynchronous messages (chat/email).
As an overnight physician, you will provide comprehensive overnight medical coverage across all 50 states, ensuring patients receive timely and high-quality care during nighttime hours. Physicians are members of an interdisciplinary care team working as staff clinicians with OpenLoop. They work independently and are responsible for diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making within the industry and locally established standards of care, clinical practice guidelines, and organization policies and procedures. The scope of medical decision-making focuses on common conditions that would present within an episodic, acute, or primary care medical practice. Responsibilities
ΓΒ Obtains histories, conducts virtual exams, documents findings, evaluates and diagnoses medical and behavioral health conditions, recommends treatment plans, constructs care plans, enlists support from other team members and promotes peace of mind by investing in patient confidence
ΓΒ Delivers patient care in high-priority care targeting a range of common chronic conditions
ΓΒ Demonstrates flexibility by adapting as needed to change processes and practice in an evolving, ambiguous environment
ΓΒ Communicates effectively with other providers, including using comprehensive charting and messaging
ΓΒ Delivers patient care that balances the best that medical science has to offer, patient preferences and values, and invests in patients' future confidence and skills
ΓΒ Provide feedback about opportunities to improve the quality of care and operational processes
Requirements
ΓΒ Board-certified physician (MD or DO) from a US-accredited medical school
ΓΒ Board-certified in Family Medicine OR Emergency Medicine
ΓΒ REQUIRED: Must possess active, non-restrictive medical licensure in: ALL 50 STATES
ΓΒ Active 50 state licensure MUST be reflected on CV upon application
ΓΒ A minimum of TWO years experience as a practicing physician required
ΓΒ MUST have a current and active DEAs
ΓΒ Must have no history of malpractice
ΓΒ REQUIRED: 4 - 5 Overnight shift availability per week
ΓΒ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ΓΒ Outstanding clinical expertise, evidence-based practice
ΓΒ Competent in providing patient education at every visit
ΓΒ Strong verbal and written communication skills
ΓΒ Above-average comfort with technology and assisting patients with troubleshooting technical difficulties that may occur in the home environment
ΓΒ Timely and professional
ΓΒ Telemedicine or virtual care experience a plus
ΓΒ Fluency in Spanish (both written and spoken) is a plus
