EPICENTRE CHURCH POSITION: YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY INTERN Start Date: August 15, 2025 Reports to: Young Adult Pastor: Hope Lopez Hours: 10 hours/week Pay Rate: $18.04/hour Work Format: • In-office: Thursday (9:30-11AM - 1.5hrs) • Remote hours: (flexible - 8.5hrs) Role Summary
The Young Adult Ministry Intern serves primarily within Epicentre’s Young Adult Ministry to uphold the mission and values of the church at large by leading and strengthening the infrastructure needed for the ministry to thrive and reproduce.
The Young Adult Ministry Intern will work with the Young Adult Pastor, as well as the Young Adult Leadership Team, to support the vision of the ministry and church at large. Compelling Clarity: Vision for the Role Epicentre Young Adults are radical disciples of Jesus who passionately love God and obediently live for Him. The YA Intern will serve, alongside the YA Leadership Team, as a pillar in the Young Adult Ministry to personally carry and live out the vision to be radical disciples of Jesus who passionately love God and obediently live for Him.
They pray for, connect with and pastorally cover young adults in our ministry and plan, facilitate and lead Young Adult events such as, but not limited to YA Nights, lifegroup, discipleship, YA connect events, WMLA, missions trips and more. Desired Outcomes (Core Responsibilities): I. Ministry Leadership, Visioning and Leader Development • Actively engage in ongoing mentoring with a supervisor (1 hr/week). • Attend and help facilitate YA Leadership Team meetings (bi-monthly). • Assist in identifying, developing and equipping lay leadership and core ministry members to grow in skills/giftings in conjunction with Young Adult Pastor.
II. Ministry Covering and Administration • Connect with and assist follow up of new young adults. • Assist in pastoral covering and discipleship of young adults. • Assist in development and support of YA lifegroups and lay-leaders. • Assist in planning, facilitating and leading ministry events alongside YA Pastor and YALT. III. Spiritual Formation & Ministry Calling Development • Participate and grow in personal leadership development and training (staff meetings). • Develop spiritual formation through personal discipleship.
• Utilize resources in the Antioch Network and supervision to help discern ministry calling. • Actively engage in Epicentre life at large, carry church values and engage in church-wide events (Sundays, lifegroups, HOPE rooms, WMLA, etc.) Anointed Fit: Ideal Profile We are seeking someone with: • A vibrant, Spirit-filled relationship with God through Jesus-Christ. • Humble and teachable leader committed to serving others. • Demonstrate spiritual maturity, character, and ministry giftings. • Value-carrier for Epicentre Church and the Young Adult Ministry.
