We are looking for a dedicated YouTube Clip Researcher with a passion for rap culture and internet drama to help us curate relevant video content. The ideal candidate will have experience in identifying trending topics, sourcing engaging clips, and providing context to the material. Your role will involve researching popular channels and emerging trends in the rap and internet drama scenes. If you’re familiar with YouTube analytics and have a knack for storytelling through video, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Find video clips that match specific moments
- Locate interviews, livestream moments, news footage, and viral social media clips
- Provide timestamps, links and download files for each clip
- Organize clips clearly so editors can easily access them
- Occasionally help locate background information for stories
Examples of clips we use
- Podcast interviews
- Instagram Live arguments or statements
- Streamer reactions
- News reports related to crimes or incidents
- Older interviews or historical moments relevant to the story
Ideal Candidate
- Familiar with hip hop culture and rap news
- Strong internet research skills
- Fast and organized
- Comfortable using YouTube, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, and news sites
- Able to find clips quickly when stories are trending
