This role includes confirming employee identity and employment eligibility, accurately completing Section 2 in Workday, and ensuring adherence to federal I-9 compliance requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities β’ Schedule and facilitate virtual I-9 verification meetings with employees via Microsoft Teams. β’ Review and validate identity and employment authorization documents. β’ Enter and maintain accurate Section 2 information in Workday. β’ Maintain organized records of completed I-9 forms in compliance with federal regulations. β’ Stay current with I-9 compliance requirements, practices, and regulatory updates. Knowledge β’ In-depth understanding of I-9 processes, practices, and compliance requirements. Skills β’ Strong attention to detail and accuracy. β’ Ability to utilize Microsoft Teams, including breakout room setup, for efficient remote verifications. β’ Professional interpersonal and communication skills, with tact and diplomacy. β’ Effective organizational and planning skills with consistent follow-through. β’ Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information. β’ Proven ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships. Technology Skills β’ Demonstrated proficiency with Workday. β’ Proficiency with Microsoft Teams for remote verification. Preferred Qualifications β’ Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Human Resources or a related field. β’ Education: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements β’ Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. β’ Ability to participate in video conferences and virtual meetings. β’ Ability to maintain reliable internet connectivity in a remote/home office environment. β’ May require occasional extended hours during peak workload periods.
