SCOPE Are you a video editor who lives and breathes adventure, fitness, and stories of human grit? Do you enjoy shaping meaningful, emotional, high-impact short videos from long-form conversations? Do you care about climbing, ultrarunning, mountain biking, alpinism, surfing, or endurance training? If yes, you might be the perfect fit. About the Podcast Ageless Athlete is a weekly podcast exploring: Longevity & performance Climbing, ultrarunning, MTB, alpinism, surfing Training & recovery Psychology, mindset, and resilience Everyday athletes doing extraordinary things at every age Our goal is to inspire people to keep pushing their physical and mental boundaries as they age. THE ROLE At the beginning, you will: ✔ Edit short-form clips from timestamps I provide Each week you will create: 2–4 clips per episode Each clip ~ 60–90 seconds Clean, engaging edits with strong pacing Captions (readable, minimalist, on-brand) Light B-roll related to adventure sports when appropriate Once we build trust and workflow: ✔ You may grow into selecting the segments yourself This is why niche understanding matters. I’m not only looking for a technical editor — I’m looking for someone who can eventually think like a story producer. YOU (Ideal Candidate) ✔ Proficient in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci, or similar ✔ Strong English comprehension (spoken + written) ✔ Understands emotional storytelling ✔ Follows or participates in adventure sports ✔ Detail-oriented — cares about pacing, tone, clarity ✔ Reliable with deadlines (weekly workflow) ✔ Curious and willing to learn our style and audience Huge bonus if you: Climb, run, bike, surf, or train regularly Listen to podcasts about training, longevity, or mindset Understand why certain moments resonate emotionally WHAT YOU’LL BE CREATING (per selected episode) 2–4 short-form clips (~60–90 sec) Strong captions + subtle emphasis text Clean edits with intentional pacing Light B-roll from climbing, running, MTB, surfing, etc. when suitable HOW TO APPLY (Must follow all steps) Please submit: 1️⃣ A short note on why you’re interested in this niche 2️⃣ Your portfolio — ideally reels/shorts or talking-head content 3️⃣ One example of a clip you edited that shows emotional or narrative strength 4️⃣ BONUS: A short answer — “Share one moment from an adventure or mindset podcast that would make a great short clip — and why.” Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. TEST ASSIGNMENT (for shortlisted candidates) We’ll give you a full-length episode and ask you to: Identify one moment you believe would resonate with our audience Explain why you chose it Edit a 60–90 second short clip with captions and light B-roll This test tells us more than any resume can.
