We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Healthcare Attorney to join our legal team, specializing in providing expert opinion letters and conducting comprehensive compliance reviews related to Business Associate Agreements (BAA) and marketing arrangements within the healthcare sector. - Responsibilities
- Draft clear, thorough opinion letters addressing complex healthcare legal questions related to BAA negotiations and marketing arrangements.
- Conduct detailed legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to stay current on evolving healthcare laws and regulations.
- Review and analyze contractual documents, ensuring compliance with applicable laws including HIPAA privacy rules, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and other relevant statutes.
- Provide strategic legal guidance on compliance issues associated with healthcare data sharing, marketing practices, and business collaborations.
- Collaborate with internal teams—including compliance officers, business development, and legal colleagues—to ensure all marketing arrangements meet regulatory standards.
- Assist in developing policies and procedures that promote ethical practices and mitigate legal risks in healthcare operations.
- Maintain meticulous records of legal opinions, research findings, and compliance reviews for audit purposes.
- Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required.
- Proven experience in healthcare law, including familiarity with BAA negotiations, HIPAA regulations, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and other federal/state healthcare statutes.
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research platforms.
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise legal documents and opinion letters.
- Experience in reviewing contracts related to marketing arrangements or data sharing agreements within a healthcare context.
- Knowledge of estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation procedures, patent law is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and communicate complex legal concepts clearly.

Pay: $99.00 - $100.00 per hour
