Job Description
Yaffe Law, a growing South Florida litigation firm, is seeking an experienced attorney to join the firm on an of counsel / contract basis. This position is designed for attorneys seeking flexible, project-based legal work while handling substantive litigation matters without the pressures of client origination or traditional law firm structure.
We have a diverse litigation practice, including high-stakes commercial disputes, employment litigation, and termite damage claims. Matters often involve significant financial exposure and complex legal issues.
This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys challenging litigation work and can produce high-quality written work product with minimal supervision.
- Responsibilities
- Drafting motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
- Preparing discovery requests and responses
- Conducting legal research and case analysis
- Assisting with development of litigation strategy and case analysis
- Drafting and revising commercial agreements
- Assisting with deposition preparation and litigation strategy implementation
- Supporting active litigation matters as needed
- Qualifications
- 7+ years of legal experience, preferably in litigation
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills
- Experience drafting motions and managing discovery
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Admission to the Florida Bar (required)
- Compensation
- $70–$100 per hour, depending on experience
- Flexible workload based on firm needs and attorney availability
- Remote work environment
This position is structured as an independent contractor / of counsel role, not a full-time salaried associate position. For the right candidate, the role may expand over time as the firm continues to grow.
