Job Description

The Property Manager is responsible for the daily management and performance of assigned properties, with a strong focus on leasing and resident coordination. This role oversees lead management, property showings, application processing, lease execution, renewals, and resident communication. The Property Manager also coordinates maintenance requests, inspections, rent collections, and lease compliance while ensuring a positive resident experience and high occupancy. Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills are required to manage operations efficiently and maintain positive tenant relationships..

Leasing & Applications

  • Respond to leasing inquiries and coordinate property showings.
  • Track leads and update activity in the property management system.
  • Review and process rental applications according to company policies.
  • Assist with preparing lease agreements and move-in documentation.
  • Conduct pre–move-in communication and explain lease terms to new residents.

Lease Renewals

  • Track upcoming lease expirations and prepare renewal offers.
  • Communicate with residents and assist with renewal documentation.

Resident Communication

  • Serve as a point of contact for leasing and resident questions.
  • Provide clear communication regarding lease terms, policies, and procedures.

Maintenance Support

  • Coordinate maintenance requests between residents and vendors.
  • Assist with scheduling property inspections and reviewing inspection reports.

Delinquency & Collections

  • Monitor rent payments and delinquent accounts.
  • Communicate with residents regarding past-due balances.
  • Issue late notices and assist with eviction documentation when required.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate records in company systems (AppFolio or similar).
  • Assist with resident programs such as insurance tracking or filter delivery.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to explain lease documents and company policies clearly.
  • Experience in property management, leasing, or administrative support preferred.
  • Familiarity with property management software such as AppFolio or similar platforms.
