Job Description
We run a production API system on Azure and current recurring cloud spend is about $9,000/month. We want an experienced engineer or small team to help reduce this by $3,000 to $5,000/month without breaking production, hurting performance, or creating maintainability issues.
This is not a blind full rewrite job. We want someone who can determine whether the savings should come from:
- infrastructure optimization
- architecture simplification
- database/query improvements
- background job / worker redesign
- code refactor
- partial rewrite only if truly needed
Required experience:
- Azure cost optimization
- production backend/API systems
- Python and/or .NET
- databases, queues, background workers, scheduled jobs
- production-safe rollout and migration
Project structure:
Phase 1: Audit
- review current Azure architecture and cost drivers
- identify top cost areas
- recommend exact changes and estimated savings
Phase 2: Implementation
- implement approved changes
- production-safe rollout
- documentation and handoff
