Job Description
We are looking for a results-driven Personal Injury Paralegal to support a litigation practice on a part-time and remote basis. This role is tailored for a seasoned professional who can step in with minimal training and independently manage the life cycle of a Personal Injury case, from initial discovery through trial readiness.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a diverse caseload of personal injury matters, ensuring all milestones and court deadlines are met.
- Prepare legal documents including complaints, discovery requests, motions, subpoenas, and persuasive settlement demand packages.
- Serve as a compassionate point of contact for clients, providing case updates and gathering critical facts regarding their treatment and recovery.
- Order, sort, and summarize extensive medical records and billing statements; create detailed medical chronologies to support case valuation.
- Assist with fact-finding by obtaining police reports, witness statements, and insurance coverage information.
- Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 yearsβ experience as a Paralegal specifically working on personal injury cases
- Proven ability to work effectively in a virtual law firm environment using tools like Zoom, Microsoft Office products, and cases management software.
- Must have a dedicated home office/workspace with high-speed internet and the ability to handle confidential HIPAA-protected information securely.
- Strong analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate empathetically with injured clients.
