AECOM is a global leader in infrastructure consulting, dedicated to delivering a better world. The Environmental Engineer I role involves conducting engineering design and creating necessary documentation under supervision, while working on projects that address key environmental challenges.

Responsibilities

Builds analytic and design skills
Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer
Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision

Skills

BA/BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering + 0 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review
As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening
1+ year of relevant experience in site investigations and remediation
Experience with CERCLA and RCRA remediation programs at complex sites
Working toward sitting for Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam
General civil engineering experience
Strong technical report writing skills and the ability to develop design specifications
Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D/GIS
Willingness to travel, complete field work, and work extended hours, when necessary
Knowledge of Mid-Atlantic States environmental regulations and setting OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification
