This is a remote position. Cox Consulting Network (CCN) is seeking a Senior Accountant Consultant to support high-impact client engagements across industries including tech, software, private equity, and other growth-oriented environments. This is a project-based consulting opportunity (3–9+ months) with remote and hybrid options depending on client needs, ideal for hands-on professionals who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced settings. Requirements Requirements: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a foundation in public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier strongly preferred) Strong expertise in US GAAP and core accounting functions, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting Proven hands-on experience with transactional accounting (AP, AR, billing, cash applications, payroll, journal entries) with the ability to operate at both detailed and strategic levels Experience owning or supporting full-cycle accounting in high-volume, fast-paced environments Background supporting clients in industries such as technology, SaaS, private equity, or other high-growth sectors Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 842) Demonstrated ability to support audits, prepare PBCs, and partner effectively with auditors and cross-functional stakeholders Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms Strong Excel and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to adapt quickly, add value, and operate in client-facing consulting environments Preferred Requirements: CPA or CPA-eligible Blend of public accounting and industry experience (audit + operational accounting) Experience in private equity-backed or rapidly scaling companies Exposure to M&A, integrations, or technical accounting areas (ASC 805, SOX, SEC reporting) Experience leading work streams, mentoring junior staff, or owning portions of the close Experience improving or scaling accounting processes, particularly within transactional workflows Benefits Benefits Cox Consulting Network offers competitive compensation and best-in-class benefits for our consultants. 100% of premiums paid for Medical, Dental, and Vision for employee consultants working over 30 hours/week 401k with 5% immediate vesting employer match Health Savings Account with employer contribution Opportunity to earn a spot at our awesome consultant awards trip!
