Our Autopilot Data Annotation organization plays a critical role in annotating images, movies, and distinct virtual digital camera statistics, which serves as the foundation for the training of our neural networks and the ground truth for Autopilot’s artificial intelligence. We are seeking an experienced Data Annotation Supervisor to lead a team of Data Annotation Specialists in labeling 3D and image data for neural network training.

Job Responsibilities As a Data Annotation Supervisor at arenaflex, you will be responsible for leading a team of Data Annotation Specialists and ensuring the accurate annotation of data for neural network training. Your key responsibilities will include: Conducting ongoing performance management on the team, including creating training plans, tracking progress, and completing monthly analyses and performance reports.
Evaluating daily performance in proprietary software and reporting daily summaries and team metrics. Working directly with engineers and Autopilot leadership to own annotation guidelines that require a record of every technical and operational constraint. Having a strong record of project recommendations with the ability to discuss labeling requirements effectively, labeling inefficiencies, and assist in growing documentation and training materials. Executing proper headcount allocation amongst Quality Control and labeling, and prioritizing project queues daily as directed by leadership.
Ensuring documentation and daily planning for the team is accurate and continuously updated. Other supervisory duties will include employee development, conducting bi-annual performance reviews and monthly performance check-ins with Team Leads and Data Annotation Specialists, recognizing employees who consistently exceed expectations, and mentoring direct reports to ensure the team works as a cohesive unit. Accurately managing timekeeping and attendance via the Kronos system. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Experience managing and motivating medium-sized teams that perform manual operations.
Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritizing tasks with order of precedence and completing them in a timely manner. Commitment to data accuracy and throughput. Strong problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for immediate learning systems. Proven track record of executing and meeting sensitive deadlines. Experience managing multiple competing tasks with limited resources. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex topics and ideas in a simple and concise manner.
Proficiency in extensive workflow software (JIRA, Excel, etc.). Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field. Previous experience in data annotation or a related field. Experience working with artificial intelligence or machine learning technologies. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or C++.
