Senior Analyst, Content Valuation and Analytics. Job Overview In this critical role, you will be responsible for preparing valuations and delivering critical analytic insights for all arenaflex content, working closely with key stakeholders from various business units, including legal, labor relations, finance, participations, controllership, and international content revenue.
As a
Senior Analyst, Content Valuation and Analytics, you will play a vital function in assisting the Content Valuation & Analytics team in preparing data-driven analysis to inform arm's length pricing for our vast TV content library in domestic and international markets across arenaflex-controlled linear networks and DTC services. Key Responsibilities Establish arm's length-based content pricing and prepare quarterly close and financial planning deliverables for scripted and unscripted content certified by arenaflex's DTC services globally.
Consolidate quarterly regional content valuation submissions and identify key variance drivers, distilling findings into actionable insights for senior management. Assist in preparing long-range and budget planning deliverables, as needed. Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders at DTC finance, studio finance, participations, and controllership. Partner with finance stakeholders to identify and improve process efficiencies and best practices. Curate and synthesize large amounts of data to draw conclusions and make recommendations, resulting in actionable insights.
Automatically track and maintain content performance (including Nielsen ratings, critical review scores, and industry awards) for network and cable primetime applications. Participate in a variety of ad-hoc projects to introduce you to new concepts and enhance your understanding of key principles across the bolthires of content distribution and licensing. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess: 3+ years of recent experience in financial analysis, finance, and/or 2+ years from a Big Four CPA company.
A self-starter mentality, with a creative, flexible, and proactive approach to your work. Experience working with minimal supervision, with the ability to scope, identify, and execute value-added procedures and process upgrades. Strong project management skills, with the capacity to track and establish goals, manage multiple priorities, and pivot quickly based on the immediate needs of the business. The ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and partners across all levels of management.
Experience working with large data sets and analytical tools, with a proven ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data. Attention to detail, accuracy, organization, strong problem-solving skills, excellent work ethic, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. A preference for working with numbers, performing analysis, and maintaining accurate supporting documentation of work done. Comfort with rationalizing and justifying decisions made and tactics applied, but flexible with switching paths if circumstances dictate.
Proficiency in bolthires Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with strong financial modeling skills required. Required understanding and application of pivot tables and advanced Excel formulas, such as INDEX, MATCH, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, VSTACK, and nested IF statements. A passion for the entertainment industry and television programming, with content licensing experience being a plus. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable: A BA/BS in Business, Mathematics, Economics, or another quantitative discipline.
Experience working in a similar role within the entertainment industry or a related field. Familiarity with arenaflex's products and services, including its linear networks and DTC services. Knowledge of content valuation and analytics principles, with a strong understanding of the entertainment industry's trends and challenges.
