The resources, learning programs, and support provided to you in our pharmacy technician training program are designed to give you foundational and advanced knowledge, skills, and on-the-job experiences you need to prepare to become a licensed pharmacy technician. Key Responsibilities: * Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the exercise of pharmacy, according to national and federal regulations. * Assist the pharmacist in the performance of other Pharmacy department responsibilities, according to employer policies and procedures.
* Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information and process prescriptions. * If PTCB licensed, assist with and coach pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems and cashiers in the operation of the pharmacy cash registers. * Model and provide a unique and delightful customer experience. * Engage customers and patients by greeting them and providing assistance with services and products. * Resolve customer issues and answer inquiries to ensure a superior customer experience.
* Fashion and share customer service best practices with all team members to provide a unique and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and arenaflex service traits (e.g., providing help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.). Developing Strong Relationships with Valuable Customers: * Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers. * Under the supervision of the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy, according to national, federal, and agency policy.
* Review and comply with the arenaflex Co. Pharmacy Code of conduct. * Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy manager, personnel Pharmacist, and store supervisor, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug records, ensuring information is entered efficiently, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets, verifying medication is accurate, and checking for possible interactions. * Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow. * Report, immediately, prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company rules and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the quality improvement program.
* Strictly adhere to the arenaflex Co. Policy regarding accurate dispensing throughout all applicable prescription dispensing activities. * Accountable and responsible for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, collects and handles cash as required. * Take customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in finding merchandise. * Handle telephone calls that don't require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians. * Process (correct and resubmit) claims for third-party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other clerical responsibilities, as assigned by the store manager.
* Assist and support the Pharmacy department on stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription drugs. * Keep knowledge of company asset safety procedures, and document claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not obtained), order errors or broken goods related to Rx capsules. * May assist the pharmacist in administering medical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required; assist pharmacy staff in coordination of medical services, arenaflex healthcare clinics, and external vendors.
* Assist the Pharmacy manager and personnel Pharmacist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, through clinical provider detailing and outreach to healthcare agencies, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for reinforcing growth opportunities. Education and Personal Development: * Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the unique PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration.
* Otherwise, earn PTCB certification as a condition of promotion to senior technician. * Attend training and complete PPLs requested by manager and acquire continuing education credit. * Maintain expertise and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest information and developments. * Through completion of the arenaflex pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, experience qualifies for 8 (8) college credit hours as recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE). This course is recommended for 3 semester hours at the lower-division baccalaureate/companion degree category and 5 semester hours in the upper-division baccalaureate degree category for a total of 8 semester hours.

Qualifications: * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Preferred
Qualifications: * Choose six months of experience in retail environments. * Choose to have previous work experience with arenaflex. * Decide on desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications. * Decide on correct computer skills. * Decide on knowledge of store inventory management. * Prefer PTCB certification.
