About the position
The Construction Biller position at Aston Carter involves managing billing processes within the construction industry. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and proficiency in relevant software systems. The ideal candidate will assist in contract project tracking, prepare and process invoices, and coordinate with customers on contract documentation. Responsibilities • Assist in the initiation and tracking of contract projects to ensure compliance and successful completion dates.
• Prepare invoices for billing and any additional documentation required for billing purposes. • Process invoices and validate them according to project contract documentation. • Gather and record information to assist with process compliance monitoring. • Initiate, process, and track progress of contracting business unit claims. • Initiate documents for purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders. • Coordinate with customers on contract documentation including tax documents, purchase orders, and general information.
Requirements • Experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable, billing, and invoicing. • Construction industry experience (including data entry, customer service, etc.). • Proficiency with computer skills including Adobe and Excel. • Strong customer service skills. • Attention to detail. • High school diploma or GED. Nice-to-haves • Basic computer skills. • Strong communication and grammar skills. • Experience with AS400 and Windows-based systems.
