CCRN - Critical Care Registered Nurse. OR CCRN-E - Critical Care Registered Nurse (Remote). OR CCRN-K - Critical Care Registered Nurse (Knowledge). OR AACN-Acute and Critical Care Nursing NIHSS-NIH Stroke Scale. TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 5 years of recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrates expert level critical care knowledge, critical thinking, and sound nursing judgment. Must demonstrate understanding of patients’ pathophysiology and rationale of special needs and common problems associated with physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, rehabilitative, spiritual/cultural and self-care issues.

Requires demonstrated knowledge of legal policies relating to patient decisions and outcomes, medical terminology, current critical-care practice trends and initiatives. Must exhibit proficiency and knowledge of technical functions required to safely carry out patient care activities involving equipment, medication administration, IV management administration of blood/blood products, and infection control prevention and/or treatment. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (DHS-Title 22, JCAHO, CMA, Nursing Practice Act) is required.

Requires the ability to independently practice and prioritize demands in an ever-changing, dynamic environment. Must demonstrate understanding of pathophysiology and rationale of special needs and common problems associated with physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, rehabilitative, spiritual/cultural and self-care issues. Must be proficient in hemodynamic lines, mechanical ventilation, inter-cranial pressure (ICP) monitoring, general anesthesia, IV infusion titration, and monitoring and assessing patients requiring sedation.

Must have demonstrated critical thinking skills, effective English written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency with windows-based computer operations. Pay Range is $86.81 to $113.71 / hour

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
