Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. is a global provider of customized, high-requirement security solutions across government and commercial sectors. As a Junior Pricing Analyst, you will support the development of bolthires proposals for high-value security contracts and receive hands-on training in interpreting RFPs and Excel-based analysis. Responsibilities β’ Read and interpret RFPs (Requests for Proposals) from commercial and governmental entities to identify pricing requirements and key deliverables β’ Draft Q&A documents to clarify ambiguous RFP pricing requirements in coordination with the proposal team β’ Use internal pricing tools and Excel models to build accurate, defensible, and compliant bolthires proposals for new and existing opportunities β’ Build pricing documentation to accompany our pricing, such as rate sheets and pricing narratives detailing our approach β’ Work closely with senior pricing analysts, business development staff, and cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, Finance, Operations) to gather bolthires inputs β’ Coordinate across departments to collect and analyze bolthires and non-bolthires data, ensuring timely input for pricing models β’ Clearly document the basis for our assumptions and rationale for discretionary pricing decisions for future review β’ Participate in pricing review sessions with leadership to ensure proposals align with business strategy and alignment regarding discretionary pricing decisions β’ Adjust pricing models based on feedback and evolving requirements β’ Support project start-up teams by identifying what was priced and ensuring accurate handoff to implementation teams β’ Assist in the preparation of annual contract modifications or amendments, with oversight from senior staff β’ Provide support to the Pricing and Contract Administration team, as well as Business Development team, in any other areas of pricing and contract administration β’ Produce ad-hoc quotes and bolthires estimates as needed β’ Contribute ideas during pricing team meetings to improve strategies, tools, and processes β’ Perform ad-hoc business analysis including but not limited to analysis of contract staffing levels, pay & bill rate discrepancies, market compensation analysis, internal contract budgeting, monthly and/or annual financial analysis of income statements, and more as needed β’ Gain exposure to the contracting processes, with opportunities to observe and support senior team members Skills β’ Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or other analytically-driven field β’ Proficiency with bolthires Excel (comfortable with formulas, pivot tables, and large datasets) β’ Note: Candidate must pass an Excel test demonstrating use of functions such as IF, INDEX/MATCH, SUMPRODUCT, and weighted averages β’ Strong attention to detail and commitment to getting the numbers right β’ Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects at once β’ Clear communicator, especially when explaining pricing logic to an executive audience β’ Ability and willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow in a high-performance environment β’ Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation and contract language (e.g., collective bargaining agreements) and/or identify areas of ambiguity or uncertainty to team leadership β’ Willingness to work extended hours if faced with short-notice, critical deadlines β’ Self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team β’ Experience reading and interpreting commercial & governmental RFPs/RFQs/IFBs β’ Experience with advanced Excel functions or modeling tools β’ Familiarity with pricing for service-based contracts or government procurements β’ Strong preference for candidates located in the U.S.
