As a Safety Analyst at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in supporting the Safety department by processing reports, collecting data, generating reports, following up on corrective actions, investigating incidents, and participating in special projects as assigned.
About the Role
The Safety Analyst will assist in the development and implementation of Safety Management System (SMS) data collection structures and other techniques that optimize processes and systems used to determine compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, as well as ordinary business best practices. Key Responsibilities Acts as subject matter expert for Safety Programs and collaborates with Safety Department Managers concerning safety activities Reviews, processes, and analyzes all reports received via the safety reporting system (Operational/Irregularity, ASAP, Fatigue) Analyzes technical data from hazards, incidents, and occurrences, and identifies, interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets Acts as safety auditor for the Internal Evaluation Program, Safety Investigations, and high-risk areas of operations Tracks, analyzes, and interprets data outputs from the Company's safety programs Assists in the management of the company databases for the purpose of enhanced airline safety Assists the Safety Team in any necessary investigations and provides technical expertise to Management concerning data models, database design development, and data mining Prepares relevant reports and communicates safety-related data to managers and line employees in support of the Safety Management System (SMS) Assists in the development, implementation, and management of the Company's Safety Management System (SMS) Acts as a member of the Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) Monitoring Team, oversees aircraft data collection (along with Technical Operations), performs FOQA data analysis and trend identification Maintains FOQA Database and ensures organization compliance with FOQA guide Assists in the continuous development of the risk identification and safety risk assessment schemes of the Company Prepares studies and research regarding aviation safety trends Any other duties assigned by management Essential Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Aviation Safety programs (ASAP, FOQA, LOSA, FRMP, IEP, VDRP), operational familiarity with Flight Operations, Dispatch, Inflight, and Maintenance, and knowledge of aircraft systems, minimum equipment lists, aircraft dispatch procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of Safety Management System requirements, risk management, safety assurance, safety reporting, and safety promotion. Preferred Skills Bachelor's degree in a related field Previous experience in airline operations FAA aircraft dispatcher, pilot, and/or A&P certificate Basic knowledge of Crew Resource Management concepts and aviation human factors Proficiency in bolthires Office Suite of products Excellent writing skills, including guide writing, document writing, and correspondence with government agencies Excellent verbal, presentation, and educational skills Strong technical and data analysis skills; Ability to perform statistical analysis and audits
