About the Role As a Healthcare Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in our organization, providing exceptional service to our clients and ensuring their satisfaction. You will be responsible for accurate and efficient data entry, as well as making necessary edits in health plan portals. This position requires a solid understanding of the health claims process flows and expertise in healthcare terminology, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding. Your contributions will be crucial in supporting our mission to deliver high-quality healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities Policy Management: Update member information accurately and promptly in electronic portals, handle policy termination requests, process policy terminations effectively, and policy reinstatements. Health Coverage: Update information about coverage plans, including eligibility, benefits, limitations, and exclusions, conduct thorough research to locate insurance plans for healthcare providers, and escalate any duplicates or issues regarding plan coverage to supervisors. Data Entry: Perform data entry tasks with precision and efficiency in IDX and health plan portals, utilizing your knowledge of medical terminology and coding to enhance data accuracy.

Responsibilities: Maintain confidentiality, adhere strictly to confidentiality policies, and safeguard sensitive member information, escalate complex issues to supervisors or managers for further assistance and resolution, and contribute to team success by collaborating effectively with team members to achieve shared goals and maintain a positive work environment. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

At least one (1) year of experience in claims examination, health insurance, customer service, call center, medical office, or other healthcare-related field. Strong computer experience (data entry, screen navigation, keyboarding), excellent typing skills to maintain speed and accuracy, and ability to adhere to daily schedules and duties. Demonstrated strong organizational skills to manage data effectively, detail-oriented with a commitment to meeting deadlines, and medical terminology knowledge. Ability to multi-task along with attention to detail, self-motivation, organized, time-management, and deductive problem-solving skills.

Must be able to clear a background check and meet the work-from-home requirements, including high-speed internet and the ability to directly hardwire to your modem. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Strong experience in healthcare data entry, medical billing, or a related field. Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, as well as experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Salary range: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour.
