The Mission Systems Procurement team enables the timely supply of quality materials to our factories. This position will lead Procurement teams supporting Operation sites in Iowa, Puerto Rico, Colorado and California.
Ideally the role will be based out of Cedar Rapids, IA or Colorado Springs, CO. Consideration to work remotely will be given to highly qualified candidates. Travel to Operations sites as well as supplier sites will be expected 20% of time, or monthly. Responsibilities • Lead multiple decentralized Procurement departments overseeing $65M in annual spend and approximately 500 suppliers. • Establish and execute strategies to drive improved supply chain performance (OTD, PPM), control costs (APP savings, PPV), and ensure compliance with FAR and DFAR regulations.
• Serve as a valued member of site operations leadership, VSL, commodity management, and finance groups across the business. • Coach and develop talent within the team. • Own operations of all phases of Procurement for client accounts or product families in accordance with financial goals and technical strategy. • Develop strategy for effective vendor selection and management to minimize purchasing costs without compromising quality. • Develop sourcing and procurement operational goals, anticipating changes in price trends and manufacturing processes.
• Direct the resolution of client issues or problems. • Approve and qualify larger and more complex vendors to fulfill account needs. • Direct processes and strategy for complex request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages. • Manage all schedules and purchase orders for the client account or product family. • Ensure product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right bolthires. • Facilitate development and standard work of direct and subcontract procurement teams. Requirements • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. • 3+ years of leadership experience.
