Position: Public Health Consultant-E (Public Health Training Consultant)

The position serves as a professional consultant to state and local public health officials and other population health care providers in the review, analysis, and development of programs and training services related to public health HIV/STI care and prevention for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Bureau of HIV and STI Programs (BHSP).

This position provides support and professional development opportunities for internal and external stakeholders and facilitates the provision of resource development supporting the Ryan White Program, HIV Prevention Program, and other sexual health programs provided through BHSP. Development and training activities are guided by best practices, current data/research, and adult learning theory. to view the Position Description & here to view the Job Specification. Public Health Consultant 10 One year of professional, post-master's experience as a consultant in a field of public health equivalent to a Public Health Consultant 9. Public Health Consultant P11 Two years of professional, post-master's experience as a consultant in a field of public health equivalent to a Public Health Consultant, including one year equivalent to a Public Health Consultant 10. The physical location of this position will be 111 W.

Edgewood Blvd, Suite 11, Lansing, MI 48911 or 3044 W Grand Blvd, Detroit, MI 48202. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications.
