The Member Story Coordinator is responsible for capturing and curating member stories that reflect the ministry's mission and the impact of their health sharing programs, ensuring accurate and uplifting communication across various channels. Responsibilities Work with the Creative Services Manager to identify, collect, and document member stories that reflect the ministry’s mission and God’s provision through the Samaritan and REDEEM communities Review Legacy and REDEEM member comments and submissions to find stories that align with marketing pillars and highlight the Lord’s work through members’ experiences Receive and organize new story submissions from Member Services Advocates, and Member Advisors, ensuring all entries are properly logged and trackable Read and assess all incoming member stories from designated sources such as the Member Story email address, bolthires, and Member Center within REDEEM Participate in occasional travel opportunities to capture member stories or interviews firsthand when needed Verify story details for accuracy, including member status, location, and context, while maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all communications Communicate directly with members to confirm details, conduct interviews, and request or collect signed media release forms Catalog approved quotes, comments, and stories in an organized and searchable format, serving as the central source for all member story materials Prepare and pre-press member story materials—including quotes, stories, comments, photos, and video assets—for use by the Creative Services team Collaborate with the Creative Services Manager and Marketing to plan how and where each story will be shared across ministry communication channels Provide curated member content and materials for internal communications, such as staff meetings or newsletters, to encourage and inspire team members through the impact of the ministry Skills Two-year degree from an accredited university or the equivalent combination of education and experience Staff are required to possess applicable knowledge to bring value to SMI in this role, know and utilize resources well, ask questions to ensure full understanding, gain and retain knowledge to keep up with changes, and accept and engage with training to grow knowledge for current and future responsibilities Proofreading and editing (Advanced) Familiarity and use of culturally trending words (Intermediate) Proper grammar, spelling (Advanced), punctuation, and vocabulary Storytelling and Editorial Judgement Benefits Performance-based incentive pay SMI Membership with monthly healthcare bonus Health Insurance: MEC plan with employer HSA contribution 401K Retirement plan with employer contribution Life Insurance Short-term disability Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account Time Off: 9 company paid holidays, 5 missions days accrued annually, maternity and paternity leave, FMLA, Bereavement, and weekly accrued PTO (40 hours to use after 30 days + 80 hours accrued for 48 weeks) Health club or home workout benefits for participating staff Formal staff development and leadership training Spiritual support and counseling through our staff support office Repeatedly certified as a Best Christian Workplace Company Overview Samaritan Ministries is a health care sharing organization striving to be obedient to Gal.
