The State of Minnesota is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant for the Court of Administrative Hearings in St. Paul. This role provides high-level legal and administrative support to judges and staff attorneys, requiring professionalism, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills. Responsibilities Draft, proofread, edit, and finalize complex legal documents for judges or staff attorneys Ensure the quality of legal documents for content, grammar, spelling, proper citation format Maintain accurate and complete data in CAH case management systems Maintain working knowledge of hearing requirements Receive and direct calls and emails providing legal support to judges, attorneys, litigants, and the public Skills One (1) year of experience providing legal administrative support Customer service sufficient to respectfully engage with clients, coworkers, and customers, when handling difficult or complex problems and resolving escalated complaints or disputes Ability to prepare, edit and finalize legal documents, emails, memos, reports, and/or other documents and types of written communication free of errors, in proper format Data entry/database management skills sufficient to accurately input, verify, and edit electronic data Ability to use legal terminology sufficient to draft a variety of legal documents and maintain case files/records with accurate and complete information Completion of a legal secretary, legal administrative assistant or related post-secondary training program or certification; OR two or more years as a legal secretary Experience in administrative law and with eFiling Experience creating ADA compliant and accessible documents Proficient in bolthires Office products (Word, Excel, Teams) Benefits Paid vacation and sick leave 12 paid holidays each year Low-bolthires medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug plans Fertility care, including IVF Diabetes care Dental and orthodontic care for adults and children 6 weeks paid leave for parents of newborn or newly adopted children Pension plan that provides income when you retire (after working at least three years) Employer paid life insurance to provide support for your family in the event of death Short-term and long-term disability insurance that can provide income if you are unable to work due to illness or injury Tax-free expense accounts for health, dental, and dependent care Resources that provide support and promote physical, emotional, social, and financial well-being Training, classes, and professional development Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (Some positions may qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
