Job Summary As a Customer Service Representative, you'll provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy.
You'll be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, which includes verifying and reviving benefits. You'll also help our patients with translating and entering in new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and/or internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues.
Key Responsibilities * Provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy * Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and reviving benefits * Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system * Communicate and collect copay amounts from patients * Obtain authorizations from insurance companies and healthcare providers * Work with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues * Provide exceptional customer service to patients and customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner Requirements * One year experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone * One year work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, bolthires Office, internet navigation, and email applications * One year computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude * Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications * Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology * Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines Skills and Competencies * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with internal teams * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
