Job Description
United Rentals is the world’s largest equipment rental provider, seeking a detail-driven Automotive Rental Service Writer & Title Clerk. This dual-role position involves managing customer interactions and rental service intake while also processing vehicle title and registration paperwork to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Manage Due for Service reports for commercial and utility fleet vehicles, including routine maintenance, DOT, dielectric testing, and annual inspections Coordinate rental fleet maintenance and repair schedules with customers; assist in appointment scheduling and locating mobile repair or service centers Assist in managing recall campaigns across the fleet Handle initial maintenance customer calls; troubleshoot issues and coordinate effective solutions Maintain accurate rental records and update system data regularly Conduct pre- and post-rental vehicle inspections, document vehicle condition and report findings Process all vehicle title and registration paperwork for new, used, and rental fleet vehicles Ensure compliance with state and local title regulations and DMV requirements Prepare and submit documentation for title transfers, lien releases, and registration renewals Maintain accurate records of all titles and vehicle ownership documents Track titles in transit and follow up with dealerships or DMV offices as needed Manage title audits and support internal or external reviews Skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task Highly organized & ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines Must work well in a team environment and have good communication skills Title Clerk experience is preferred Benefits Paid Parental Leave United Compassion Fund Employee Discount Program
