Job Description
We are looking for detail-oriented transcribers to accurately retype text from our comic panels into a spreadsheet or document for future translations.
Your job will be to carefully read the speech bubbles and narration boxes in each panel and type the text exactly as it appears - including punctuation, capitalization, special characters and sounds mentioned on pannels.
Your responsibilities:
- Open provided comic pages.
- Retype all text from speech bubbles, narration boxes, pics and signs exactly as shown.
- Maintain formatting rules we provide (e.g., separating panels, noting sound effects).
- Double-check for typos or missing words.
Requirements:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow formatting and style guidelines.
- Perfect reading comprehension of English (and/or other languages if applicable).
- Reliable and able to meet deadlines.
Nice to have:
- Experience with comics, manga, or visual media transcription.
- Basic understanding of sound effect notation.
